Last year I bought one and the Hummingbirds seemed to prefer it over the others that I had so this year I purchased this package deal and can't believe the number of Hummers we have now. Thank you for this fantastic offer.Date published: 2016-09-24Rated 5 out of 5 by Sagawau from Best Hummer Feeder These feeders are easy to use, filling and cleaning are a big consideration, we put out about 50 feeders and the design of the glass pinch waist feeder make our job easy, quick and efficient. parts are easy to replace making the glass portion a long term investment. Only consideration of the ant moat on the cap, it is to shallow to do any good, make it 3 inches deep then this feeder is perfect..Date published: 2016-09-12Rated 1 out of 5 by Ladyvet from They all leak I used to love Perky Pet hummingbird feeders. I feed 250-300 hummingbirds each summer so I need reliable feeders. My hummingbirds will only feed from Perky Pet feeders. The old design was excellent. Then they changed the design a couple years ago. Ugh... Now they leak!!! Drip, drip, drip - what a mess. When you feed as many hummers as I do the last thing I need are leaky feeders. They make a mess, attract ants and raccoons , and empty themselves faster. As it is I have to fill 8-9 feeders a day (a total of 14 are out) and I don't need them to be emptied any faster than the hummingbirds empty them. I have tried in vein to find more feeders in the old design. I checked online, on Ebay, garage sales, etc. If anyone has any of the old style feeders I would love to buy some. Meanwhile, I try to nurse my old design feeders along. I have several of the new style I would gladly sell to someone as they are of little use to me.Date published: 2016-09-08Rated 2 out of 5 by cathy10 from IT LEAKS! Not sure if I ended up with a "dud" but at first the feeder would have been rated excellent but now it leaks from underneath one or two flowers. I've tried cleaning and re-seating the flowers but nothing helps. I am currently only using one of the 4 feeders because it is late in the season for us so don't know if they will all leak or not. Have sent an email to the company this a.m. explaining situation. Possibly they have a suggestion.Date published: 2016-09-07Rated 5 out of 5 by Sheila from Great Online Experience Purchased Hummingbird feeders. I was putting out 8 to 10 cups a day in 4 of the feeders so I decided to go to the 2 cup size. As others have stated, the perch design is wrong. Have to be very careful about attaching the base of it leaks. When the birds act like the feeder is empty there is still about 1/3 cup of sugar water in the base. I wish I could but more of the old style 1 cup feeder. I had a small bottle brush that allowed me to keep this style clean and the birds could feed on them until they were dry. I wouldn't recommend this feeder to anyone!Date published: 2016-08-27Rated 3 out of 5 by PKC03 from OK but "pinch" makes it hard to clean I used one of these for years. Love the capacity and the sturdiness. The only problem is that it is really hard to clean because of the shape. Well made and the hummers didn't have a problem with it. I did only when I tried to clean it.Date published: 2016-08-13
Is the base plastic??? When I buy glass and have to screw glass into it, it leaks. Thank youThe base is plastic and the bottle is glass. When filling this feeder, it is essential that the base and bottle are tightened well to prevent leaking.Date published: 2016-09-28
