All About Decorative Hanging Hooks
Glittering and shiny decorations can help attract new birds to your bird feeders. These hanging hooks can catch a bird’s attention and entice it to investigate. This Perky-Pet® decorative hook was made with the help of our sister company, Iron Stop, which is the industry leader in wind spinners and hanging die-cut outdoor art pieces.
Q: How long will this last?
A: Though delicate in appearance, this decorative hanging hook is made of laser-cut 20 gauge steel for superior durability. It should last a long time.
Q: Is that a sticker on the metal?
A: No. The design on this hanging hook is painted with UV-protected ink and finished with a high-gloss, rust resistant powder coating to help protect this decoration from the elements season after season.
Q: Will the color fade if I leave it outside?
A: Thanks to help from our friends at IronStop®, this ornament uses state-of-the-art FujiFilm ink, which includes UV protection to maintain its brilliance longer.
Q: If a bird lands on the metal, will it cut its feet?
A: Birds can definitely land on the portion of the hanging hook assembly depicting a sunflower, and they won’t hurt their feet doing so. The edges of the hanging hook have been buffed smooth to remove any sharp corners.
Q: What birds like sunflowers?
A: Sunflower seeds are probably the best bird seed to attract a wide variety of birds to your bird feeders. Among the top sunflower seed eaters are blue jays, cardinals, and chickadees, but that’s just a few from the list. Sunflower seeds, with their high fat content, are also a favorite of squirrels and chipmunks.
