Perky-Pet® 4 Foot Hummerbar® Hummingbird Feeder
Looking to feed all your hummingbirds at once—from just one feeder? Perky-Pet® has exactly what you're looking for!
The revolutionary Perky-Pet® 4 Foot Hummerbar® Hummingbird Feeder offers a whopping 44 feeding ports in one easy to fill and easy to clean feeder.
With a patented design, the Hummerbar® hangs horizontally from your porch or patio. Each port is perfectly spaced to allow hummingbirds to feed side-by-side, meaning you could literally be feeding 44 hummingbirds at one time.
The Hummerbar® is built of a shatter resistant clear plastic, which allows you to monitor nectar levels. The feeder ports are molded with red plastic, a color that's a proven attractant to hummingbirds. The hanging cords, end caps and stopper are a matching red, adding to your chances a hummingbird will investigate the massive feeder.
With the Hummerbar®, you'll have the ultimate hummingbird feeder!
How to hang the Hummerbar®
- Remove an end cap.
- Remove nectar-pouring funnel from tube.
- Replace the end cap.
- Select an outdoor area to hang the Hummerbar®.
- Hang using loops at end of hanging cords—make sure the feeder is low enough to access for refilling and cleaning.
- Level the Hummerbar® by adjusting its cords. Slide cord locks up and down as needed to level.
- Remove rubber stopper from nectar basin and insert funnel.
- Fill about 1/4th full with Perky-Pet® hummingbird nectar. Compare each end by eye. If nectar is pooling to one side, then adjust cord locks again.
- Once nectar is evenly distributed, continue to fill nectar basin until half full. Do not overfill.
- Remove funnel, insert rubber stopper.
For best results, provide your hummingbirds with Perky-Pet®'s 100% sucrose formula nectar. Sucrose-based nectar is the ideal food for hummers since it converts to energy quicker.
Only fill the Hummerbar® about half-full. Overfilling the Hummerbar® can cause leakage.
If a 4-foot Perky-Pet® Hummerbar® is too big for your porch or patio, then try the the 2-foot version. With 22 feeder ports, you can still draw in plenty of hummingbirds.

Hummingbird Feeders - FAQs
Q: Any more tips for hanging the Hummerbar®?
A: The most important thing to using your Hummerbar® successfully is to make sure it's level every time you hang it. If it's not level, nectar can run out of the feeder ports and make a mess.
To expertly level it, hang the Hummerbar® from two hooks and try to level it by sight. From there, get a standard "Carpenter's Level" and make the finer adjustments until the Hummerbar® is completely level.
Use the easy-grip sliders on the hanging cord to clip it into place. If those clips remain at this setting, your Hummerbar® should be level every time you hang it.
Q: How do I "test" my Hummerbar®?
A: Before you fill a Hummerbar® with nectar, you can try filling it with a little water. If the water spreads out evenly along the Hummerbar®, it's ready to take nectar. If it pools in one end, you need to work on leveling it again. Once level, drain the water out and replace with Perky-Pet® nectar.
Q: How much nectar should I put in the Hummerbar®?
A: Only fill about half of the Hummerbar® tube. The tube size was selected because it is small enough for a hummingbird's tongue to reach the bottom. If you over-fill the tube, it may spill. Also, you don't want to put in so much that it spoils before hummingbirds drink it all.
Q: How often should I clean my Hummerbar®?
A: In hot weather, clean the Hummerbar® (and any hummingbird feeder) every two days to keep mold from forming. With that in mind, you should only fill your Hummerbar® with as much nectar as your hummingbirds will drink in those two days. You don't want to have to take it down when it's full!
Q: It's leaking out of some of the ports! What do I do?
A: There are two possible reasons your Hummerbar® is leaking from the feeder ports. First, you may have over-filled the Hummerbar®. You should only fill the Hummerbar® about half-way with nectar. The other problem that may cause leaking from the feeder ports is if the Hummerbar® isn't completely level. You should carefully take it down, drain it and then re-level it.
Q: It's leaking out of the end caps! What do I do?
A: If your Hummerbar® is dripping out of either end cap, you probably didn't push the seal into place. Carefully grip both ends of the Hummerbar® and push the seals toward one another, this should lock the seal. Try not to knock the Hummerbar® out of balance when you do! Finally, wipe the leaking end with a damp cloth.
Q: The weather forecast says we're due for some severe weather, should I take my Hummerbar® down?
A: You don't need to, but it may keep the Hummerbar® from spilling if the winds pick up and begin to jostle the feeder.
Q: How else can I attract hummingbirds?
A: You can bring more hummingbirds to your yard by adding hummingbird-friendly flowers, including zinnias, butterfly bushes, columbines and salvias. Also make sure you have a good source of water for hummingbirds and other birds.
