They should say that it's painted. I did not keep the receipt AND WOULD REALLY LIKE A REFUND OR ANOTHER FEEDER THAT WILL NOT RUST THAT HUMMING BIRDS WILL FEED FROMDate published: 2016-10-13Rated 5 out of 5 by Uncle Jim from Great Gift Well Designed. It's Red Glass, Easy To Open, Easy To Fill & A Great Metal Base. The Real Plus, Is The Fair Price. Thanks...! :)Date published: 2016-10-12Rated 1 out of 5 by CFravera from Birds don't like it! Bought this feeder about a year ago and for a few days the birds drank from it. Soon there were no birds coming to it. I took it down and got a different one. Last week I gave t to my neighbor to try. Today she told me that she can see the feeder from her window and one of the Humming Birds got it's beak stuck in the feeder hole and had a terrible time trying to free it self. I think I now know why they stopped coming when I had it hanging up. Perhaps that wasn't the first time one got his beak stuck. So disappointed.Date published: 2016-10-08Rated 3 out of 5 by Longhorn from Having to modify design. I like the fact that the jar has a large mouth for easy cleaning. I don't like the fact that the bail fits so close to the jar. I had to add a hanger to go over Shepard hook. The bottom leaks where the two pieces fit together, my husband had to build a gasket to go between the pieces to keep from leaking.Date published: 2016-09-19Rated 4 out of 5 by Nnylski from Sturdy Hummingbird Feeder This is the first hummingbird feeder that I have bought in the last 2 years that is easy to clean and doesn't leak or (at least so far) attract wasps and bees. I wish only that the two metal parts would screw together to better avoid leaks.Date published: 2016-09-08Rated 5 out of 5 by Mohiggin from HUMMINGBIRDS ARE HAPPY! The base is all metal. Probably will resist the UV from the sun. Very easy to refill and clean due to the large opening.Date published: 2016-09-06Rated 2 out of 5 by ferd from Good value I'm not sure what it is about this feeder, but the birds will not feed out of it.Date published: 2016-09-06Rated 5 out of 5 by Doggettja from Pretty hummingbird feeder. My hummers love this feeder. It is very easy to clean. I am planning on buying another one.Date published: 2016-09-05
Do you offer replacement parts for the base? Both of the feeders I purchased have started rusting (inside). We apologize for this unusual experience. While replacement bases are not available, the feeders are covered under a one year warranty for replacement.Date published: 2016-09-28
Does the base come apart for easy cleaning? The base is one piece and does not come apart, however it has a wide opening for easy cleaning.Date published: 2016-03-23
Recently I bought 5 of the model #786 which have metal parts in lieu of the plastic base and feeding ports. The metal feeding ports/cover of 3 of the feeders appear to be rusting after minimal use. Do you have replacement parts? Plastic parts?
I just bought this feeder last weekend and now within an hour of putting food in it, there are dozens of dead ants floating inside. How in the world are they getting in there and what can I do to keep them out?
Do you sell a plastic dish that fits the mason jar on this feeder? The metal one has rusted and I would like to continue to use the feeder.
