I LIKE IT September 10, 2013
The best feeder I have ever had. It is so easy to fill, and not nearly as messy as the other type feeders. I just have to remember to CLOSE IT before filling. I plan to order two more for myself and two for my mother-in-law !!!
Amazon Review, My Favorite Hummingbird Feeder July 09, 2013
This is an excellent hummingbird feeder. I have used several of these feeders continuously for several months, and I've found it to be the easiest-to-use and easiest-to-clean feeder I have ever owned. And the design is beautiful, with the bright flowers and their individual "plant-stem" bird perches.
When the feeder is empty, both the top and the bottom come apart for VERY easy cleaning. This is an extremely convenient design. I've not noticed any "leaking" problem that some users report with other top-filling feeders. But for this type of feeder it is important to screw the top lid on tightly to maintain a vacuum seal in the main reservoir.
Anyone who is considering purchasing one of these feeders should BUY IT NOW! You won't be disappointed. Plus, my hummers love it!

I have two of these feeders in my backyard...for reasons stated below.
The bees love them if you do not carefully thread the top and bottom base parts together as there will be small gaps that will draw bees. Using thumb and forefingers squeeze the two base parts together and you will sometimes hear an audible *snap* when the base parts seal. One of my feeders still doesn't quite seal perfectly so I dab olive oil on the joint with a Q-tip and it keeps the bees away. Use only a minimal amount to prevent the hummingbirds from contaminating their feathers.
I've also had some difficulty with the rubber seal of the bottle top getting stuck and ended up using a small dowel to drive the top out. Now I don't torque the lid on so tightly.
Hummingbirds are somewhat territorial and will defend "their" feeder so having a second feeder in the yard will eliminate some of the high speed chases that might otherwise ensue. They will occasionally hover near me while I'm checking the feeder. It's probably some sort of posturing or territorial behavior and it always reminds me of the saying about hummingbirds and alligators.
Bees tend to be attracted to very sweet mixtures like 3:1 and 4:1. A mixture of 6:1 during the summer is enough to keep the hummingbirds happy and the bees looking for something sweeter.

Reviewer: jipped customer
The stupid thing leaks out all over from the bottom red section. It's in two parts and it is totally unsealed so that as soon as I poor the nectar in from the top, as instructed, it made a huge puddle all over the counter, wasting the nectar and making a big mess. Dumped it out, examined the thing and tried again, same result. Don't buy this piece of junk.

RESPONSE FROM PERKY-PET
AUGUST 06, 2013
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Perky-Pet® 24 oz. Top-Fill Plastic Hummingbird Feeder (model 124TF). We’re so sorry to hear that it is leaking! With these top-fill feeders, it is essential to make sure that you are filling the feeder when it is in the “closed” position. To do this, you want to push the bottle down into the base until it clicks to close off the ports. Once you fill it to the very top, close the lid tight enough to create a vacuum seal, and gently pull the feeder up and away from the bottom red base until it pops a bit. The nectar should then flow into the base.
If your feeder still leaks after trying this, please call us at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) so we can issue you a replacement feeder. We want to work with you to make this right, and above all we want you to be happy with your purchase.
