Important Feeder Care & Instructions: Before you fill your top-fill feeder with nectar and each time you clean your feeder it is important to do the following in order to prevent the feeder from a possible leaking issue: - Remove Feeder Lid
 - Remove the O-ring (the rubber-type band located around the neck of the feeder opening - see photo). The O-ring will be white, clear or red in color.
- Lubricate the O-ring with common household vegetable oil, canola oil, etc. (this can be done by pouring a little oil on a paper towel and applying it to the O-ring or wetting your finger with vegetable oil and applying it to the O-ring).
- Place the O-ring back on the feeder and secure the cap.
