WORTH THE MONEY June 28, 2014
I've bought many oriole feeders and by far this is the best one. No mess filling up cups, you just put the jar of jelly on and twist the bottom. So easy to use. I have recommended this feeder to all my friends.
Amazon Review, A great Oriole feeder May 09, 2014

So far I am extremely satisfied with this Oriole feeder. To make matters better other birds besides Orioles use this feeder to get a dab or two of jelly. The design is sturdy and the three chains spaced triangularly offer good balance even when the jar is full with jelly. The three chains render the balance quite well so even a full sized Oriole cannot tilt the feeder. One reviewer said his feeder was tilted and turned over. That was probably caused by a rodent (squirrel) or maybe a heavy sized crow.
There is one caution that may help readers. In the sun the jelly tends to liquefy and the liquid collects in the pan below the jar. When a bird then feeds on the same the liquid spills over to the floor. Therefore if this feeder is placed in a sunny spot and the ground below is concrete or tile you will have a tiny puddle below which will be a magnet for ants.
Another point to note is that this feeder does not come with an ant guard. Therefore, I suggest making one yourself or purchasing one of those ridiculously over priced ant guards. I make mine from plastic water bottles.
For the price, sturdy construction, and utility this is an excellent buy.
Jelly feeder May 07, 2014
I bought one of these feeders and will never use any other again. Keeps the jelly clean and no need to fill multiple times per day as with dish feeders. Had 6 orioles feeding this morning!! Finches also feed from it. Highly recommend it.
Amazon Review, If I could give this 10 star I would!! May 07, 2014

We love to feed and watch the Orioles and this feeder has made it much easier and cleaner to do so. In the past we had the open dish Oriole feeder, i.e., a block of wood with two openings for dishes in which you placed the jelly. It worked well but it was buggy and nasty after awhile. This feeder encloses a full jar of grape jelly and the jelly moves down and out as the birds eat. Just had our first Orioles of the season feasting in this earlier this morning---wonderful feeder!

very nice feeder and so easy to use. I love the little paddle inside the jar so you can just give it a turn at the bottom to get more jelly out and the 32 ounce jelly jar from the store fit too. So you can just take the cap off your 32 ounce jelly jar and screw it on instead of the jar that came with if you want to. It was already together except for the chain that it hangs from and that took less than a minute to latch on to the sides. It latches on very strong so it hangs safely and evenly. The only draw back I could see is out Baltimore Orioles are about the size of a big Robin so there isn't too much room for them to land and stay on it to eat. They're not hear yet so I'll have to wait and see if they can stay on it to eat as I'm hanging it from a flower pot hook. It will be nice to not have it sit on the ledge of the patio anymore.
UPDATE: I now have over 50 Orioles out here eating the jelly from this. Good thing it's easy to fill. I've had the liquid Oriole feeders out for years but this is the first time I've used jelly and they aren't even going to the liquid feeders when there is any jelly left in here. They eat a whole jar daily.... If you want loads of Orioles you gotta get this.... Wish I could give it 10 stars.

I got this feeder and it is great. I have had several pairs coming in this year. Some of the jelly jars fit, so you don't have to mess with filling the plastic jar

While the chain is discombobulating, this is a simple sturdy feeder. Variable opening allows user control over the amount of jelly dispensed.

The setup on this feeder could not be easier, while it comes with its own jar for jelly that you can fill, you can also simply by grape jelly and use THAT jar on it! (for example I put on a 32oz grape jelly jar on it) after that it has a pretty neat screw-scoop that dispenses the jelly out to the feeder. When you want to put more out you simply use that no muss - no fuss!
The only downside as other reviews have said is that the tray/base is plastic, so I will see how well it holds up, especially at the chain attachment points. I also made a reflective orange sleeve to cover the jelly jar - it would of been cool if it came with an orange sleeve.
So for now I give it four stars, I will revisit the review after a month or so and let you know how the plastic is holding up color/strength wise, if you want to see the sleeve I made or have any questions just let me know!
