Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keeps squirrels OUT! I've had 4 of your feeders&they do what they say they will. They hold a nice amount of feed, have a good number of feeding ports, are well made&very durable. The only suggestion I have is to somehow totally encase the springs on drop-down metal cages; they catch on decorative leaves of the cage piece&become sprung. (Squirrels jump on the cage, the springs stretch out. Squirrels jump off the cage, the stretched-out springs try to zip back into place but catch on the leaves&stay stretched out permanently, allowing access to feed ports when the drop-down cage does not spring back up. Squirrels being squirrels, they immediately proceed to gnaw away at plastic exposed at the ports, ruining the design that keeps the feed in the feed cylinders. If not caught soon enough, the feeder is rendered useless as feed just pours out of the gnawed port.) I was very happy to discover you sell replacement springs. If I'm vigilant, I can now replace sprung springs&stay ahead of those little devils!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some problems with springs I bought this feeder thinking it would be squirrel proof. It isn't. The problem is that the springs are not enclosed. Therefore the squirrel can stretch the springs out of shape. This causes the spring tension to very greatly. If the manufacturer would enclose the springs so the squirrels cannot get to the spring, it would be a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best feeder I have owned. I bought this feeder three years ago at Ace hardware and the many squirrels that have tried to get seed is to many to count. I now have to replace the springs and having a hard time finding them, but i am sure that i will

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good design Pros: (1) The unit is sturdy. (2) The bottle is easy to clean. (3) The glass bottle can be washed with very hot water, and it won't break down and thus leach plastic material into the liquid overtime from heat/sun exposure/scrubbing as those plastic bottles will. (3) The feeder is one of the best leak-proof ones on the market. However,it will leak if you defeat the leak-proof mechanism by manually tipping it too much. The action will cause the liquid to fill up the bottom tray instead of maintaining it at a desired level. The only way to correct it is to empty the tray and refill it. Cons: (1) There are no perches for the 8 oz model. Hummingbirds will have to spend lots of energy feeding when they don't need to. The 16 oz model provides perches, but you'll need to either switch the decorative yellow flowers to the red ones to avoid attracting bees, or simply remove the flowers (hummingbirds don't need those parts to feed). (2) There are too many parts to clean.
