How many times have you checked a trap to find no mouse…and no bait? With Quick-Kill®, this frustrating exercise is over for good. The Quick-Kill® trap is equipped with a covered bait trough that can hold a mouse’s favorite foods or nesting materials while eliminating any chance of bait theft.

Once the trap is baited, simply lift the kill bar until it clicks into position, and then place it against the wall where mice are known to travel. The Quick-Kill® trap is perfect for setting along favorite runways close to walls where mice love to travel, or wherever you’ve seen evidence of mouse activity.

When a mouse lifts the bait cover to access the bait, the kill bar is immediately released with Precision Strike Technology™ that ensures perfect placement for a quick, humane kill. After the mouse is caught, simply lift up on the red kill bar handle to dispose of the dead rodent. So when you need a mouse trap that effectively kills a mouse, look no further than the Victor® Quick-Kill® Mouse Trap.

The Victor® Quick-Kill® Mouse Trap can be used anywhere in the home, indoors or out. The trap contains no chemicals or poisons—making it ideal for households with children or pets, but please use with caution.

Quick-Kill® Demo Video

The Quick-Kill® is easy-to-set and poses no threat to fingers. Here’s how:

  1. Lift the bait cover.
  2. Using a Q-tip, toothpick or other tool to mask your scent, bait the trap by placing peanut butter or anything high in protein like chocolate or hazelnut spread in the bait trough.
  3. Close the bait cover.
  4. Lift the red handle on the kill bar until it clicks and locks into place.
  5. Place the trap wherever you’ve seen signs of rodent activity, or along the wall where rodents primarily travel. The end of the trap with the bait cover/trough should be placed flush against the wall.
  6. After the mouse is caught, simply lift the red handle on the kill bar to dispose of the dead rodent.

  Best mouse trap
Reviewer:

The Victor Quick-Kill is the best mouse trap I ever used. It lives up to its name - Quick-Kill. It is nearly 100% effective - rarely a trip without a kill, and never stolen bait. Highly recommend.

A new favorite among mouse traps. I have never set an easier trap, and the bar triggers when they stick their noses in between the opening halves of the bait case, lifting the lid, causing a swift, humane end to the rodent trapped between a stepped trap zone.

I am very happy with this trap, and I really like that my bait stays out of view after several days exposure to the elements.

This is easy to set and comes down fast. When they call it a Quick Kill, it is. The red bar comes down with a slight tap of the bait cover. What is nice is that the bait is in a compartment that has a cover. The mouse sticks its head inside to get the bait, which means that it is definitely in the right position, and wham, the bar comes down and no more mouse. I'm sorry to kill them but I hate when they come in my basement in the fall.

These are very effective and have a better trigger design than the traditional wooden mouse traps. These have a covered compartment for bait with an opening to it in the front. When a mouse tries to get to the bait through the opening, the cover lifts up and springs the trap. For the trap to spring, a mouse will have to be right in the front. The kill bar only needs to be pull up at the right angle (unlike the wooden mouse trap which requires the bar to be pulled back to 180 degrees). The red plastic assembly on the kill bar has a pull handle for easy setup, and a sharp downward facing ridge that packs enough power to severe the head or spine of a small mouse. I had to deposit one of these traps because it's too gruesome to try to clean up the guts and reuse it.

These traps also reduce the number of false positives comparing to the wooden mouse traps. I had wooden traps sprung without catching anything. With these traps, a mouse has to be right in front of the kill bar in order to spring it. They are almost fool proof.

I have found these quick kill mouse traps quite effective and very easy to use. I prefer mouse traps to chemical or poison since they are much safer to be around my kids and pet. These traps are not designed to just catch but to also kill. If you can't bear to see a gruesome scene you may want to consider a different type of traps. Otherwise, they are great!

I don't think we'll see any misses with this trap. The mouse has to approach the bait from the front, as it can only get to the bait through a hole in the front of the bait box. The kill bar is a wide and heavy duty plastic bar attached firmly to heavy gauge steel bars, so there is no give. The spring is surprisingly strong and trips fast and hard.

I like that the trap is heavy duty plastic. It is more expensive than a wood trap, but you'll get more use from it if you are willing to wash it. I've always been told that once a mouse is killed in a wooden trap, you have to through it away because you can never get that death smell out of the wood.

In the past several years we've been using the sticky traps, but I'm glad we are done with those: I've seen way too many slow deaths, and I don't like that. I also hate to see the lizards get stuck in those traps.

This worked-- i had totally unexpected results- caught two mice in the basement. I offered to test these on the Vine program and followed the easy directions and set both traps in my basement. The next day I dumped the dead mouse into a bag and reset the trap ( there was still bait in it ) and had another mouse that night. I didn't catch anything with the second trap so I'm putting it in a different location and re-baited and reset the first trap. These traps are so easy and so safe that I will keep them set in the basement, i found that you can have mice without even knowing it.

Thank you VICTOR for an easy to use mouse trap.

The only problem with this trap is that you can't control what size mouse goes into it. When a small mouse gets killed by it, it makes a big mess.

This mouse trap is powerful and effective. It has no problem with even large mice and small rats. It is sensitive and powerful.

It is amazing how many mousetraps types there are. This one has a deep compartment that bait is placed into and once the mouse tries to move its head into the compartment, down comes the bar on it. The trap is reusable and very easy to set. The compartment is large enough for you to put more than a little bit of bait.

These mousetraps are light years ahead of the old wooden kind you dread hearing snap. They're reusable, if you don't mind disposing of a dead mouse, and they're designed so you don't have to touch the carcass.

The packaging claims a humane kill. I hope that's the case.

My husband’s all-time favorite traps are Victors. I would say that whatever works is fine, but the old-fashioned style and name seems to work better for him. This trap, similar to the Victor “Power-Kill” mouse traps looks like a bit of overkill, but is a really decent trap. It certainly is a lethal one. Unlike the other traps we’ll be using these in the house. There’s no way to secure the trap and in our outbuildings larger critters take off with them.

Fall is when field mice make their way in and we set numerous traps. Usually they are the smaller wooden traps, some of which don’t last all that long. These are really heavy-duty with a kill bar that has metal rods on either side, much thicker ones than the standard Victor trap. One thing I like is that setting the trap is much easier, lessening the chance of catching one’s fingers in them. Not mine because I don’t like this chore.

Our most recent catch has been with a Victor trap. For some reason these seem to work better than others we have. This trap is quite sturdy and, hopefully, a big improvement over the standard wooden Victor traps. The economy comes in because they are reusable. In the fall we don’t have any lack of mice because we are rural. Easy to bait, easy to use, and they work.

What a way to go...for the mouse, that is. Finally someone invented a better mousetrap. I’ve always been exasperated with the traditional wood version because the bait was eaten and the trap did not trigger. Or the trap was so touchy it was hard to get it to “set” and my fingers were always at risk. I also like that it is designed to be reusable. Only some of the wood ones would allow reuse. And if the trap sat too long, the soft metal would indent from the pressure and then fail to trigger.

This VICTOR QUICK KILL MOUSE TRAP is easy to set, and easy to empty. You place your bait under the gray cover (behind the red bar and handle), pull up the bar, and leave the trap in the area where you've seen mouse activity. When a mouse sticks its nose into the hole at the front of the bait enclosure (lifting the cover), the sturdy wire bar snaps down onto the mouse with a lot of force. (The force is not enough to break a pencil, but it will kill a mouse.) To dispose of the dead mouse, you pull up on the red handle and release the body into the trash.

This manual trap is a better way of dealing with occasional mice than putting out a poisonous product like D-Con. Rodents poisoned with D-Con may go outside and be eaten by birds or other wild predators, which are also poisoned.

i feel more relaxed using one of these because i think the wooden ones are very scary to use. this one at least is not scary to use. its very safe to use. and it does work great. i used peanut butter or cheese in them. raise the red handle on the kill bar click it into place and you are ready to place it. my two traps have an excellent track record so far. its a great product.

One of the most amazing things about this mouse trap isn't the way it works, it is the way it doesn't break your fingers setting it.

You set your bait inside of the small hole. Then you lift up the bar until it clicks. The mouse is killed when it tries to get the bait by nosing under the bait cover. The key part of this is that it doesn't count on the weight of the mouse to set it off, a problem I have sometimes had no matter how sensitive the trap.

Five stars, no more captured fingers.

Previously, my cats were my mouse traps. Unfortunately, they are getting on in age and so I have to find a different way to catch any wayward mice. I chose this type because it is 1) easy to set, 2) quick kill, and 3) can be used repeatedly. I found it to be very easy to set and used peanut butter to bait the trap. I haven't caught any mice yet but will update this once I do. I really liked that I didn't have to risk snapping my fingertips like the old-fashioned traps were prone to do.

Down on the farm, mice flourish unless we do something about it. The last trap we received is the Victor M140S Quick Kill Mouse Trap, 2-Pack which seems to do just as well as the Victor M142S Power Kill Mouse Trap, 2-Pack, maybe even better because the mouse must lift a cover to access the bait so that the kill bar can be released. It looks less like a traditional mouse trap but sets in a similar fashion with the addition of the protective bait cover. One thing I had not thought about that was in the instructions was to use something like a cotton swab to insert the bait so your scent isn't transferred, but I wonder about your scent being on the other parts of the trap anyway. I try to use disposable gloves when setting traps, so I didn't think it would be a problem to just use a gloved finger for the peanut butter. The negative for us is that for some reason, the dogs are attracted to this mouse trap whereas they do not pay attention to any of the others. These cost a little bit more, but if you're able to comfortably dispose of the mouse remains and reuse the trap, it's a wash in the long run. We have had to put these in the trailer where the dogs don't go and feel that with the bait stations outside, we're off to a good start on the property.

This trap works really well. One of the main problems I've had with the old fashioned mouse traps is the mouse gets away with the bait. This trap solves that problem because the bait area is covered and they have to put their heads inside to get the bait. I use peanut butter which mice can't seem to resist. I smear just a little bit as far inside the bait area as possible. It doesn't take much because they can smell peanut butter a mile away. I put this trap along the wall in my garage as shown in the instructions. At this time of year, mice want to come inside my garage for the winter so I had a mouse the next morning when I checked the trap. I did not see the trap in action, but I assume it killed the mouse quickly/humanely since there was no sign of struggle. This trap has a good, hard snap.

It is fairly easy to dispose of the mouse. I always wear disposable gloves when doing this & make sure the mouse is dead. I hate this part of the process (guilt) but it has to be done.

Does what it is supposed to do and can be reused. As quick a death for the rodent as possible, though you will see the creature when you empty the trap.

Innovative approach to getting rid of rodents. The Victor M140S trap has a tiny hinged door that covers the bait reservoir. The rodent must lift the door in order to get to the bait. The opening for the door is perfectly aligned with the "kill bar" to force a quick, humane kill every time the mouse lifts the door.

The tab on the top of the bar is supposed to provide "touch free" release of the dead rodent, but it is just a little too close to the rodent for my squeamish self. Others might not have that problem.

All around, I think this is a much improved version of the standard trap.
