Was waiting to write this review to see how the feeder turned out. It's still going. I replenish seed every day or every other day. So, a lot of opening and closing of the top and it held through the whole summer. The kinds of birds that visit it depends on the seeds, but I've seen BlueJays, Sparrows, Cardinals, Black Capped Chickadees, and a few other around those sizes.
Squirrels have tried to get to it but they fall right off.

My birds went bonkers for this feeder. I used it to attract wild birds and boy it is working! Now I even have Quail, and even rabbits coming into my yard to clean up any seeds that the birds drop! It's easy to reload, and that is a good thing, because it is VERY popular with my birds!

Have had this for awhile now and while other feeders had seed ruined by rain and sun, this one drained well and kept seed dry!

The "Gazebo" - Absolutely the best feeder we've ever had - and a fantastic bargain for the price! We use the pole-mounting feature found underneath the feeder. It's positioned on an 8-foot metal conduit with a squirrel baffle below - about 2 feet from the feeder. Simply secure it with some outdoor silicon sealant. Totally fool-proof! We've named the feeder: "The Sky Bar," in tribute to a watering-hole located on the bridge at Puumala, Finland
Best feeder ever February 17, 2012
I've been using these feeders for 6 years. I've gone through maybe 6 - 8 in those years, because the squirrels eat from them too and they chew on the openings to make them bigger, and eventually the bottom falls off. I learned over the years not to fight the squirrels (I love the little guys anyway) and to put out more than one feeder, and everyone -- birds and squirrels -- share the feeders, often all at the same time. It makes for great wildlife watching to see everyone sharing, and a lot of fun to see some of the larger birds like jays, crows, and flickers try awkwardly to get their big bodies in the right position to grab a bite. These feeders are inexpensive enough that buying new ones every 18 months or so is not a problem, and they hold the right amount of seed for a day's feeding so that I don't usually have to worry about taking them down for the night to keep the raccoons from destroying them. The solid bottom perch is good for keeping seed and nuts in reach of everyone, and the strong wire hanger is indestructible. The feeders are easy to fill, no complicated open/close system, so that helps in winter and in the rain when I'm in a rush to get out of the weather. These feeders are also attractive and blend in well with the foliage.

Faithful Feeder October 11, 2011
I couldn't believe it when I found this feeder online! When I purchased it if I remember correctly, it was the only one available. I haven't seen another one like it for years! This faithful feeder has been through a lot in five years, but always held its own! No matter what the weather, from hot and steamy days to insane ice storms, this little feeder has braved it all, and to this day, the top has never broken open nor has the feeder itself fell down. The steel loop attached to the feeder goes through the roof and down to the bottom, so when I open the top to refill, I know it will never blow away or get lost. Plus, the top locks tight and is even a little hard to open, which makes it totally squirrel-proof! As an added bonus, the price makes this an amazing buy! So if you want a durable feeder for less, than this is the one!

This feeder is a great buy. You can't beat the price and all sorts of birds feed from it. I have bought several over the last few years.

For the price, it works fine. The locking top is a nice feature.

Works very well and birds love it. I've seen up to 5 birds on this feeder at once. It does only fit the small sized birds.

I wanted a short feeder, one that could hang from a sheppard's hook high enough off the ground to keep the seed safe from the deer and this little feeder proved successful in that regard. Be careful when locking the housing to the bottom. Be sure it's properly seated in every slot because if it is not, the housing will come apart and the seed will end up on the ground. The price is right on this feeder--but if you have squirrels, our favorite feeders by far are the Squirrel Be Gone feeders from Perky Pet.

Very pretty, not too large, but I do find when putting the top back on it is a little difficult getting it back into the right grooves to close it tight. Otherwise, very pleased.

My birds just love this feeds and it is easy for them to get around and the holes are big enough to allow larger sunflower seeds and peanuts to come through without clogging it. Just have to be careful after you fill it that the wire that goes through it is straight when you refasten the top as it can spill easily if you do not have a good hold on it until the lid is secured.Very Good Value and Good Price too.

We have many birds coming to the feeder, even big enough for cardinals. The lid is just a little weird to screw on, but we haven't had any problems either. We've been enjoying all the birds that are coming around!

The feeders are great, but getting the tops (roof) on and off is a real pain. I'm happy with them now that I've figured out exactly the procedure necessary to replace the roof. They hold a lot of food and require at least three cups each per day. I've got the usual array of birds as well as doves that ground feed on what the little guys have dropped. I'll buy them again if and when these go bad. Our desert sun is hell on plastic!
