great addition to my patio By Jeep girl
The hummers found the feeder in minutes and prefer it to the non-perch feeders.

Not happy By Moberglake
I have had this for less than a yr. barely used it only if I had to add another feeder for more hummers. I took it out of storage and one perch would not come out upon turning knob on bottom. So I was ok with just using 3 openings. Last night took it apart to clean and thought I would unscrew the bottom to see if I could fix the 4th opening. I see that one was broke. I tried to put it back together for at least 15 min. and finally decided that I am either going to throw it or see if I can can a replacement. Truthfully I don't want it but the glass won't fit any of the other feeders I have had for years. I am so mad that they no longer have these which were so easy to fill, clean and hang. Why do you do that? If it ain't broke, don't change it!

Good feeder By DebbieN5977
I buy one every few years. I like this type as it has the perches and its glass. The only thing i wish could be made better is the yellow flowers as they end up breaking off.

Attractive piece By HenriB
I was hoping to attract some hummingbirds and it worked. It's easy to fill and the perch was an extra feature that I'm sure the birds appreciated.

My only recommendation would be to include something that states the S hook is included under the cap, or tape the hook onto the bottle. I went out and purchased one only to discover it was under the cap. Since I didn't use the cap to fill the bottle, I didn't find it until after I had purchased one.

Our hummers love them!! By cfdrifter
Last week (w/e 4/30/16) we received, washed, and hung three new Perky Pet adjustable perch glass feeders for our numerous hummingbirds and they're thrilled! We hung them in various places and now all of them can feed without intimidation. We live in a temperate climate and we have hummers all year long so good, easy maintenance feeders are a must and these fill the bill (no pun intended!!)!

Leaked By Barb 44
I bought this today at Home Depot and got it home, filled it up with water to clean it before I filled it with nectar. Since I have had 2 bad feeders in the last year, I filled it with plain water before using the nectar to test it and the water ran out of the bottom before I could lift it out of the sink. Now got to take another one back. I do not know why there are four holes in the very bottom of this feeder.

Hello Barb,

The holes at the bottom of the feeder should have screws that hold the perches in place. However, the portion of the base that the nectar comes in contact with is a solid piece and when tightly secured to the bottle, should not be leaking.

We apologize for this experience and would like to learn more. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for further help.

Not What Expected By Donna D
We purchased three of these feeders one year ago tomorrow and put them away so we would have new feeders for this year. We had several of these feeders in the past that worked perfectly and came apart for easy cleaning. I don't know what happened, but these feeders are slightly different than our other ones. I tried taking these apart to wash them before use and got the tops off but couldn't get the bottom feeder section apart to wash it. I twisted and twisted and nothing happened. My husband tried the same with no luck. So he had to take the screws out of the bottom of the feeder section and dismantle the entire thing to be able to get a grip on the bottom pieces with pliers to get them apart. He didn't want to destroy the flower part of the feeders so this is why he took it all apart and even at that, he almost never got the bottom pieces apart. So after getting the three feeders apart, washed, and put back together, we finally got them hung up on our back deck. One is still hanging and the other two have fallen down because the red plastic caps have threads in them that won't stay screwed onto the glass jar. I have some older plastic tops but they are too big for these feeders so I would guess this was a newer model of our old similar feeders. We don't have any more of the older bottoms as the sun had destroyed them. I am completely disappointed with this expensive purchase for the three of these feeders. I see they are on sale. No wonder as there are obviously design flaws. The concept of this feeder is great because we get a lot of hummingbirds and the larger size holds enough liquid to keep the birds fed for a couple of days and the weight of the feeder is good because we can get a lot of wind where we live. But, I would not recommend this feeder for purchase because of the construction and materials used. Just wish we had used these last year (and not saved them) so I could have returned them. We are out a lot of money for something that doesn't work the way it's supposed to.

Q&A
Q.How do you unscrew this feeder. Are we supposed to undo the metal screws?   The base refuses to move!
A.

The screws on the bottom of the feeder should not be removed. They keep the perches in place. To unscrew the feeder, twist the seam between the flowers and perches. It should separate into two halves.

Q.I ORDERED 3 OF 476-3 THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO UNSCREW ALL THREE WILL NOT COME APART WHAT DO I DO?
A.

The base two halves of the base should easily separate when twisted apart. If this is not the case, we recommend contacting our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for additional assistance. The screws on the bottom of the base do not need to be removed.

Q.Does the base unscrew?
A.

Yes, the base unscrews into two halves for easy cleaning.
