Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good while it lasts I bought this and other perky-pet oriole feeders years ago and they serve me and the orioles well. The only problem with this model, 750, is if the perch breaks or rusts out over the years, which mine did, no part, of any kind, is available. Only solution offered is buy a new one! WHY? The 251 and 252 feeders are excellent and parts ARE available.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not really what it was intended for Unlike other reviewers, I have not had any problems with leakage. The difficult to clean base is an issue however. I have taken to only filling the feeder with enough nectar for 2 days and using a small bendable bristle brush to scrub the insides as best I can. Occasionally, I'll use a vey dilute bleach solution to sanitize it.The funny part about this is that I don't use this for orioles, in fact it was a total failure with them (the whole short perch thing makes a lot of sense). This spring, on a total whim, I filled it with hummingbird nectar. Most popular hummer feeder in the yard, now! The only downside is that the holes are large enough that bees and flies can get into the difficult to clean base. I would probably be hard pressed to really recommend this feeder until they find a way to make maintaining it a whole lot easier.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed The most irritating feeder I ever seen. The glass jar goes in upside down to screw the jar to the rest of the unit which is metal. It has chains on 3 sides which get tangled every where. The holes are large enough for bees and wasps to enjoy. I would put it far away from the house. Better off with a plastic unit similar to a hummers feeder.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from FEEDER1 We looked to add this to our yard to attract the orioles from our other hummingbird feeders. No luck. We have only seen it used twice by orioles--they still prefer the other feeders over this one. Too bad. A little expensive and somewhat harder to fill than other feeders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Orioles Love It! Easy to fill with little to no mess. The orioles and golden-fronted woodpeckers are easily attracted to and continually feed on this feeder. I didn't down grade the feeder for being plastic. I just have to remember to take it down during periods of high wind or a severe thunderstorm forecast. These conditions are a fact of life in the Texas Panhandle. This is the second of this model I have owned. The first was the victim of 70+mph winds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product is well made I would recommend this product due to it being well made and last for several seasons. Attractive and easy to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Intresting feeder When we first put this feeder up the Orioles would not use it then we reliazed that the perches were not aligned with the feeding ports. We fixed the issue and this now one of the favorites by the Orioles. My concern is I do not see how to take apart the base for cleaning. I am in Kansas where the summer temps frequently over 100. This creates a alagee and mildew issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Still thirsty Poor design. Orioles can't drink from this feeder. Orioles always drank from the hexagonal shaped plastic feeders I've provided, but they'll land on this one and are unable to drink--holes are either too small for them to get their beaks in far enough or the perches are too close to the holes. Also, first time I used it I had to add plumbers' tape to keep the two pieces together.
